David Squier, BSME '67, is an Operating Executive for The Carlyle Group where, since the year 2000, he has worked with the Group's aerospace investment team. At Carlyle David assists with due diligence on target acquisitions, works with management teams to create value, and sits on the board of directors of acquired companies.
The majority of David's career was with the Howmet Corporation, a manufacturer of high technology components for gas turbine engines. While at Howmet David served in a variety of operating roles and was CEO when the company was acquired by Carlyle.
David and his wife Sue enjoy life with their two daughter's families and eight grandchildren who all live together in the same town, New Canaan, Ct.
In addition to his BSME from Lehigh, David received an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.
