Dr. Kevin Kettler is the Corporate CTO at Flex. Dr. Kettler is leading the transformation of Flex from its roots as an EMS company to a design led manufacturing company. In his role he supports the business unit CTO’s in developing consistent research and development strategies across Flex’s business groups. He is also responsible for developing Flex’s key strategic silicon supplier relationships and was the founder of the autonomous vehicle cell team within Flex. Dr. Kettler also has responsibility for the overall strategy, marketing and sales operations for Flex’s FIS business unit which accounts for $20B of Flex’s revenue.
Prior to joining Flex, Dr. Kettler was a serial entrepreneur and technical consultant. Dr. Kettler was a full-time consultant for Qualcomm in 2016. Prior to Qualcomm, Dr. Kettler worked for 13 years at Dell, 8 of those as Dell’s corporate Chief Technology Officer. He was responsible for the design, development, and performance analysis of core architectures for Dell’s product portfolio. Prior to joining Dell, Dr. Kettler worked at IBM, holding various positions supporting or developing personal computer systems.
Dr. Kettler serves on the engineering advisory council at Carnegie Mellon University and Lehigh University. He also serves on several company boards and holds several patents. In addition, he serves on several non-profit advisory boards focused on the music industry.
Dr. Kettler received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University and his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
