When is the final deadline to apply to the master’s program?
For international applicants, all application materials must be received by April 1. The deadline for domestic applicants is June 15.
When do classes start?
For the 2026 academic year, classes for the master's program begin on July 6. Classes for the certificate program may begin throughout the year, with start dates for the spring term on January 19, summer term on July 6, and fall term on August 24.
How does a certificate differ from a general engineering degree?
Earning a graduate certificate does not confer a master’s degree. Individuals who complete the certificate program are better positioned to understand and explore the application of data scientific concepts and methodologies in a variety of domains, or pursue more advanced training in data science or a field that requires a data scientific skillset.
What prerequisites need to be met to apply?
To be eligible for the master’s degree program, applicants must hold at least a Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) degree in a related field, with academic training including two semesters of calculus, a course in probability or statistics, one course in linear algebra, and one introductory programming course.
How long does it take to complete both programs?
The Master’s of Data Science program can be completed in as little as 10 months, while the certificate program takes
