Leonard Poveromo '69's nonprofit company Composite Prototyping Center has seen significant growth since it's launch over three years ago. As Executive Director, the Lehigh chemical and biomolecular engineering alum took his decades-long experience in cutting edge manufacturing and created a Long Island company capable of supporting organizations of varying size, as well as STEM programs and other workforce development programs.

The CPC also serves as Northeast satellite for the Knoxville, Tennessee-based Institute for Advanced Composite Manufacturing Innovation, who received over $70 million from the Department of Energy.

Poveromo took a look back at CPC's first three years of existence, as well as what's in store for the future of the company and manufacturing on Long Island in general.
