Lehigh Valley

Located in the heart of the beautiful Lehigh Valley, Bethlehem is a vibrant city, rich in history and known for its small-town friendliness and feel. Over the past two decades, many shops and restaurants have opened in the city's downtown and South Side. One of the area's biggest attractions is the 10-acre Steelstacks Venue. Once the home plant of Bethlehem Steel, the second largest steel manufacturer in the nation, the site has been reborn through music and art, offering more than 1,000 concerts and eight different festivals annually.

Our campus is in close proximity to both New York city and Philadelphia and is right in the middle of the mid-Atlantic corridor. The Lehigh Valley region is home to about 750,000 people, giving our students and the campus community plenty to do.

Our campus is on South Mountain in Bethlehem and actually consists of three contiguous areas:

• The Asa Packer Campus (home to most of our academic and residential buildings)

• Mountaintop Campus and

• The Murray H. Goodman Campus (where many of our athletic facilities are located).

Lehigh is easily reached via air or ground transportation. For information on transportation to the Lehigh Valley, visit the University's Local Activities & Resources page.
