Meet our student leaders! These three Master's in Data Science students have become leaders in their program. They taken on the roles of Graduate Student Ambassador, representing the MS Data Science program to new and interested students; President of the Machine Learning Club, building a robust and active club to engage the entire Lehigh campus in the field; and Student Representative in the Graduate Student Senate, representing the MS Data Science students and program in Lehigh University's governance.  

Amandeep Cheema is the Graduate Student Ambassador for the Master's in Data Science program. She is also the Vice President of the Machine Learning Club. With a foundation in engineering and professional experience spanning software development, project management, and client relations, she thrives on bringing data-driven insights to life. Outside her academic and leadership roles, Amandeep enjoys watching films and experimenting with new recipes.

Simon Chen is a Master's student in the Data Science program and President of the Machine Learning Club. He has experience as a Technical Support Engineer at Adobe and an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. He assists in research at Professor Aparna Bharati's SeeVi Lab, and enjoys photography, cooking, and pickleball on the side.

Innocent Chipere is a master’s in data science student at Lehigh University (Class of 2026) from Zimbabwe, who serves as the gradaute student representative of the Master's in Data Science program to the Gradaute Student Senate, working to strengthen communication between graduate students and university leadership. He graduated with a BSc in Actuarial Science in 2022 and joined Lehigh University in June 2025 to pursue Data Science. He focuses on data analysis, optimization, and machine learning to solve real-world problems. Outside the classroom, Innocent sings with the Lehigh University Choral Union and volunteers with Lehigh Athletics, taking video for the Mountain Hawks and contributing to campus spirit and community.
