The Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics student shop is used for a First Year experience course, club team activities, and its main use for Junior/Senior level design projects. Equipment available for the students use includes:
- 3 Haas three-axis CNC mills
- 3 Bridgeport manual vertical mills
- TOS horizontal mill
- Haas CNC lathe
- Nissei 72-ton hydraulic molding machine
- 2 manual lathes
- 2 bandsaws
- Cold, table, and mitering saws
- 3 drill presses
- Delta sanding station
- Sheet metal brake and shear
- Assorted power tools and hand tools
All student work is done under the supervision of the MEM shop technician.
