Introducing the ChatCSE Ambassador Program!

The Department of Computer Science at Lehigh University is one of the most popular majors, and prospective students from across the country are eager to learn what makes our department unique. That's why we're thrilled to launch the ChatCSE Ambassador Program! This is a unique opportunity for passionate and driven Computer Science students to represent our department, and help shape the future of our academic community.
 
As an ambassador, you’ll:
  • Serve as a representative of the Computer Science department at events and initiatives.
  • Develop valuable leadership, communication, and networking skills.
  • Engage with prospective and current students, alumni, and faculty.
  • Contribute to building a stronger and more vibrant CS community.
 
BONUS: You will also get cool apparel, dinner (and some training) as well as fed at various prospective student events!
 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a Computer Science major.
  • Be enthusiastic about promoting our program and resources.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to collaborate.
  • Time Commitment: Ambassadors are expected to dedicate approximately 5-10 hours per semester (with spring being the heaviest commitment).

I learned pretty quickly that computer science is a learn-by-doing field, and a lot of growth comes from trying things, getting stuck, and figuring it out as you go.

Advice for Incoming CS students: Try everything! When I was in high school, if you told me that I would major in computer science, I definitely wouldn't have believed you. Don't be afraid to take difficult classes or seemingly random electives, you never know if you might discover your passion!
