Mitch Herbets is Principal of Herbets Consulting, LLC. He retired as the President and CEO of Thales Defense & Security, Inc. Thales provides advanced communication, sensors, intelligence and tactical display systems for military and security forces throughout the world.
Since retiring, Mitch serves as Chairman of Thales Defense & Security Inc., Chairman of Photonis Defense, Inc., Chairman of Orolia Defense Systems, LLC, and as an Outside Director on the Board of Wireless Telecom Group, Inc.
Prior to joining Thales, Mitch worked at Booz, Allen and Hamilton and Raytheon and served as an officer in the US Army with a final rank of Captain.
Mitch has an MBA from the George Washington University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University.
Mitch is a member of the Electrical & Computer Engineering department's advisory council serving as its ex-officio member for the Dean’s Advisory Council.
