Dr. Di Ni is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Lehigh University and is affiliated with the Autonomous and Intelligent Robotics (AIR) Lab. Before joining Lehigh, Dr. Ni was a postdoctoral researcher at Princeton University. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University in 2022. Her research lies at the intersection of robotics, collective intelligence, and microsystems, with a particular focus on developing small-scale robots for collective operations in complex environments.

Research Interests: Swarm Robotics, Small-Scale Autonomous Systems, Underwater Robotoics, Bio-Inspired Robotics, Collective Intelligence, and Microsystems

Ph.D. Openings:

My lab has 1–2 Ph.D. openings for Spring/Fall 2027 in swarm robotics, microsystems, bio-inspired robotics, underwater robotics, and small-scale autonomous systems. If you are interested, please email me 1–2 paragraphs describing your research interests, along with your CV and academic transcripts.
