Dr. Hugo S. Caram is a professor of chemical engineering at Lehigh. In the lab, Caram and his students seek to understand the flow of granular materials in process industries, from mineral to pharmaceutical, and how different conditions can create production bottleneck. Caram and his team also explore the emerging possibilities in using reverse-flow reactors to provide various process benefits, and investigate reaction engineering of ceramics processing, specifically the reaction bounded aluminum oxide process (RBAO).
