Ali ErkOn Tuesday, October 5 at 4:30 p.m. EDT, Alison Erk, M.Ed. will present "Take Steps Now to Position Yourself for Success in the Job Market," as part of Materials Science and Engineering's Fall 2021 Seminar Series. The event will be held in person at Whitaker Lab Room 303.

Abstract:

How does the Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) support students to reach their career goals? CCPD provides extensive resources, ongoing programming, and career coaching to equip students to pursue their chosen careers.

Ali Erk will share strategies and tools to build professional connections and navigate the internship/job search process. Learn about online platforms and tips to identify career opportunities, maximize your job search materials, expand your network, and ace your interviews.

About The Speaker:

Ali Erk is the Associate Director for Graduate Student Career Development in the Center for Career and Professional Development. She joined the Career Center in 2019 and supports graduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education, and the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering. She provides individualized career coaching, collaborative programming, and customized resources to build skills and connections for career success. Ali received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Lehigh University. She is certified as a Global Career Development Facilitator through the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) and as a Certified Career Services Provider through the National Career Development Association (NCDA).
