Two civil engineering alums have recently joined Dewberry, an engineering firm that specializes in planning, design, and construction services. 

Bob Gallup ‘86 has been hired as an associate vice president and civil department manager in the company’s New York City office.

Gallup has worked with public agencies in the New York metropolitan area, including the Metropolitan Transit Authority, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, New York State Department of Transportation, and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.

Gallup holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from New York University and a master’s in transportation from the University of Connecticut, in addition to his undergraduate degree from Lehigh. 

“Bob’s strong agency relationships and his consistent delivery of successful projects in the metro New York area will serve our clients well,” says Dewberry Senior Vice President John Boulé II. “We are excited to see our largest department continue to grow under his leadership.”

Jon Miller ’90 has been hired as an associate and senior project manager for transportation projects based in Florida. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Society of Highway Engineers, and the Design-Build Institute of America.

“Jon brings a strong background of design-build and traditional design-bid-build project experience to our growing team of transportation professionals,” says Dewberry Vice President Don Hammack.  

In his new role, Miller will be responsible for the Florida Department of Transportation project pursuits and supporting large-scale infrastructure projects across the state.
