Mechanical engineering alum Gene Kaschak ’97 has been named vice president, continuous improvement and leadership development strategy, for Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC), according to a press release.
Kaschak joined the nonprofit, which provides services to help manufacturers in eastern Pennsylvania compete and grow, in 2014 as a strategy manager and Lean coach. He served in that role for nearly eight years, until he was promoted to vice president in July 2022.
Kaschak is a co-founder of MRC’s Lean Enterprise Works and leads the MRC’s Lean Enterprise Program training local manufacturers in manufacturing methodologies and leadership development.
He is also “the architect of Lean customized services that extend to the manufacturing floor at clients throughout MRC’s five county area that include Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton, and Schuylkill counties that involve process improvements, problem-solving, workforce training, or technology implementations,” according to the release.
