MechE grad is veteran leader in consumer packaged goods industry

Mechanical engineering alum Scott Meader ’84 was recently named CEO of Luminex Home Decor & Fragrance, the holding company of international candle and fragrance brands PartyLite and Candle-lite, according to a press release.

Meader served as the CEO of Ronnoco Coffee from 2013 to 2017 and previously held executive positions with bakery ingredient manufacturer AB Mauri Fleischmann’s and food company Milnot Holding Corp.

“Scott brings 35 years of leadership experience in consumer packaged goods and retail,” says Mayank Singh, managing director for Luminex investor Centre Lane Partners. “He has a strong track record developing and growing businesses.”

Meader, who also holds an MBA from Northwestern University, has served as a board director for several CPG companies including Nellson Nutraceuticals, Eurofresh, Allied Blending & Ingredients, and Pierre Foods.

In his new role, he will be based out of Luminex’s Blue Ash, Ohio, headquarters.
