MSE professor and department chair recognized for excellence

Wojciech Z. Misiolek, chair of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Loewy Professor of Materials Forming and Processing, has received Lehigh University's Hillman Faculty Award. 

Misiolek, who also directs The Lowey Institute, was one of 17 faculty and staff members recognized for their outstanding dedication to the Lehigh community during the 2021-2022 academic year. 

The Hillman Faculty Award honors excellence in teaching and research work and for advancing the interests of the university.

Misiolek is a world-renowned expert in metal processing and has received numerous awards over his 30-plus-year career, including ASM International's 2020 William Hunt Eisenman Award and recognition from the government of Poland, for significant contributions to the field of materials forming and processing.
