TE alum Briana Gardell '14 '15G (pictured, left) appeared on a recent episode of Buy It Now, a streaming business competition show hosted by JB Smoove, in which entrepreneurs compete for a $20,000 prize and try to land a spot for their product Amazon’s Buy It Now Store.
In the episode (The Legacy of Porkchop; S1 E8), Gardell pitches Goblies Throwable Paintballs, the flagship product of her company Mezzimatic, alongside her sister Kaela DiBella (pictured, right).
Gardell developed the paintball toy, which features a seaweed-based outer shell and a vibrant, washable, plant-based goo inside for a colorful alternative to water balloon play, while a master’s student in Lehigh’s Technical Entrepreneurship program. DiBella joined her shortly after and helped to grow the company.
