Mechanical engineering alum Ricardo Moreno ’08G was named vice president of manufacturing for Freshpet, a natural pet food producer, in December, according to a press release. He will oversee all of the company’s manufacturing operations including plants in Bethlehem, Penn., and Ennis, Texas.
Prior to joining Freshpet, Moreno was regional director of operations at Bonduelle Fresh Americas, home of the Ready Pac Foods brand. His experience also includes numerous roles at Bonduelle, plant superintendent at TIC Gums, and an operations development role at Stanley Black & Decker.
“Ricardo has a demonstrated track record of leading successful manufacturing operations within the fresh and perishable products space,” commented Billy Cyr, Freshpet’s chief executive officer.
