A postdoctoral research position is available immediately in Lehigh University’s Civil and Environmental Engineering Department for an outstanding candidate interested in research in the general area of structural health monitoring. The successful applicant must have prior expertise in structural dynamics and identification, as well as machine learning and neural networks and their applications in engineering. The research profile of our group includes highly rigorous theoretical work, as well as medium and large scale laboratory experiments and field testing. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in our current projects, collaborate in developing ideas and proposals for new research, and lead and advise other students in the group. The position will be initially filled for one year, with the possibility of extension beyond that duration.
