Degrees Offered

  • M.S., Ph.D. in Computer Science (Note: Ph.D. applications are only accepted for Fall admission)

For the Ph.D. program (Fall admissions only)
  • The deadline for Fall PHD applications is January 15th for aid, April 1st for all others
  • To receive full consideration for financial aid, applicants must submit their completed application no later than January 15th; however, the committee will begin reviewing applications January 1st, so applicants are recommended to complete their application by that date.
  • International applicants should note that it may take significant time to obtain a student visa and plan the timing of their application with this in mind. If it is not possible to obtain a visa to start with your desired semester, your admission may be deferred. Please contact the graduate coordinator if you have any questions about deadlines.
For the M.S. program (Fall and Spring admissions)
  • The deadline for Fall MS applications is April 1st.  The deadline for Spring MS applications is November 1st.
  • For Spring Master admissions, applications received by November 1st will receive full consideration. However we highly recommend that applications be submitted by September 15th, especially for international applicants who require a student visa.
  • Later applications for the M.S. program beyond these deadlines will also be considered, but please note that last-minute applications may not allow sufficient time for international applicants to receive the necessary student visa. Please contact the graduate coordinator if you have any questions about deadlines.

* Note that all applications for admission into our graduate programs are reviewed by a Graduate Admissions Committee and must meet the criteria indicated on this webpage. This includes applications from students who are accepted into other, unrelated graduate programs at Lehigh. Please do not apply to another, unrelated graduate program with the hope that you may be able to "transfer" into Computer Science -- it is necessary to go through the standard admission process and meet the criteria listed on this webpage.
