Dr. Meng Zhao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Lehigh University. She earned her Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida and her M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. She previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Dr. Zhao’s research centers on developing advanced AI/ML methodologies for high-dimensional data mining and multimodal data integration. Her research aims to bridge the gap between theoretical advancements and practical applications, with primary emphasis on precision health and intelligent transportation systems. She is also interested in other data-intensive domains such as manufacturing. Dr. Zhao is an active member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) and the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE).
Dr. Zhao's research group is looking for highly motivated Ph.D. students and postdoctoral researchers with a strong interest in applied statistics and data science.
