Many of our students and faculty attended the annual BMES (Biomedical Engineering Society) conference in October 2023 in Seattle, Washington.

Thank you to everyone who came- especially those that presented!

Alice Chen, Biochemistry, the conference "was a really eye-opening experience especially since I come from a biochemistry background! It's been fantastic being able to present my team's research while also being able to see what other researchers in the field have been working on."

Cynthia Serrano Marquez '26, "My favorite part was walking around during the poster presentations, it was great to see everything that was going on in the field. Now I can appreciate the importance of Bioengineering in general, not just cancer and drug treatments like I did before."

Fenet Demissie '24, "My experience at BMES was informative and educational, but also very fun and exciting! [...] Overall, I really enjoyed talking to people of different backgrounds who were also committed to pursuing all kinds of biomedical research."

Francesca Morrell '24, "The BMES conference was a great experience. I am incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to present my poster as well as learn about many other research topics."
