12th annual Undergraduate Research Symposium returns April 8th
Celebrating its 12th year of success at Lehigh, the David and Lorraine Freed Undergraduate Research Symposium will be held on from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8th in the main lobby of the STEPS building.
The event brings young researchers together from Lehigh and Lafayette and gives them an opportunity to share work from a broad spectrum of engineering disciplines. With topics ranging from offshore wind turbine behavior to cell binding characterizations, students will be asked questions posed by a panel of judges, and will engage in conversations with faculty, students, visitors and staff.
Scholarships to professional conferences will be awarded to the winners, and everyone in the Lehigh community can participate in the symposium by casting their vote for the "People’s Choice Award."
The symposium is endowed by Andrew D. Freed ‘83 in honor of his parents. Freed, a member of the advisory council to the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science, is president and CEO of Medical Device Investment Holdings Corp. in Malvern, PA.
