MechE professor, a former astronaut, to take part in OSBP webinar with Congresswoman Susan Wild and NASA Administrator Bill Nelson

Former NASA astronaut Terry Hart, a professor of practice in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics, will emcee a virtual event, Monday, January 24, 2022, hosted by NASA's Office of Small Business Programs. 

The webinar aims to introduce stakeholders of small businesses in Southeastern Pennsylvania to business contracting opportunities in support of space exploration technology research and NASA's Artemis program, which aims to return astronauts to the lunar surface.

Hart was aboard the STS 41-C Challenger, NASA's eleventh Space Shuttle mission, in 1984. He also served as a US Air Force fighter pilot and was a telecommunications executive. 

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson and Congresswoman Susan Wild (PA-7) are among the speakers for the virtual event, which will be held 10:15-11:30 AM ET.
