It was announced this month that Lehigh University's Elizabeth McGarrigle was named to the Academic All-Patriot League women's golf team.

Aa junior majoring in industrial and systems engineering, McGarrigle is a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, earning a 3.97 cumulative GPA through her first three years at Lehigh. She recently achieved first-team All-Patriot League honors, finishing fourth at last month's Patriot League Championship.

McGarrigle, co-captain of the women's golf team and a native of nearby Wernersville, Pennsylvania, has collected three perfect 4.0 semesters at Lehigh. She is also active on campus with the university's chapter of Student-Athletes Leading Social Change (SALSC).

To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. The team is voted on by the league's sports information directors.
