Joe Yesulaitis ‘83, CEO of Aavalar Consulting, was recently invited by the Lehigh Consulting Group (LCG) to speak at their first Lehigh Consulting Summit held in September 2017. LCG is a professional organization of Lehigh students interested in joining the consulting industry after graduation. IBM, PwC, Deloitte, EY, and other regional consulting groups were among the invited companies.

Yesulaitis earned his bachelor’s in computer engineering from Lehigh University in 1983. After working for several companies as an engineer and consultant, he founded Alta Technical Services in 1988. Yesulaitis grew the single-person startup to an Inc. 500 company, eventually negotiating its sale in 1996. He founded Aavalar Consulting three years later, which provides consultants, contractors and staffing services to information technology (IT), accounting and engineering firms.

Yesulaitis was inducted into the Wharton School's Philadelphia Hall of Fame and has served on the executive board of the National Association of Computer Consulting Businesses (NACCB). He is personally active in lobbying efforts at the state and national level in support of laws favorable to the IT services industry.

“This first-ever Lehigh Consulting Summit was the brainchild of some very hard-working, motivated Lehigh University students who are focused on success in the consulting industry after graduation. The Summit was tremendously successful and well-attended,” said Yesulaitis.

The Lehigh Consulting Summit is expected to become an annual event.
