The Rossin College has a Graduate Student Handbook detailing college-level requirements.  Department-specific requirements are as follows.

M.S. in Computer Science

  • CS master's degree skill proficiency requirements
  • Completion of 30 credit hours of work which may include a three credit hour thesis for the Computer Science degree.
    • At least 18 hours at 400 level (15 of the 18 in the major field),  Thesis credits are not counted as the 6 400-level courses required for MS degree.
    • No more than 6 hours at the 200 level (only outside of the major field and only with the pre-approval of the Director of the Masters in CS  program)
    • No more than five (5) special topics courses.
  • A program of study must be submitted in compliance with the graduate school regulations.

Master of Engineering

  • CS master's degree skill proficiency requirements
  • Completion of 30 credit hours of work, which includes design oriented courses and an engineering project.
  • An oral presentation of the project is required.
  • A program of study must be submitted in compliance with the graduate school rules.
