The Rossin College has a Graduate Student Handbook detailing college-level requirements. Department-specific requirements are as follows.
M.S. in Computer Science
- CS master's degree skill proficiency requirements
- Completion of 30 credit hours of work which may include a three credit hour thesis for the Computer Science degree.
- At least 18 hours at 400 level (15 of the 18 in the major field), Thesis credits are not counted as the 6 400-level courses required for MS degree.
- No more than 6 hours at the 200 level (only outside of the major field and only with the pre-approval of the Director of the Masters in CS program)
- No more than five (5) special topics courses.
- A program of study must be submitted in compliance with the graduate school regulations.
Master of Engineering
- CS master's degree skill proficiency requirements
- Completion of 30 credit hours of work, which includes design oriented courses and an engineering project.
- An oral presentation of the project is required.
- A program of study must be submitted in compliance with the graduate school rules.
