Students scoring a 4 or 5 on the Computer Science Advanced Placement A Exam receive four credits for CSE 007 and are eligible to take CSE 017, the next course in the computer science sequence.
Students scoring a 4 or 5 on the AP Computer Science Principles (AP CSP) will receive credits for CSE 099 (3 credits).

- Placement into CSE 017: first-year students passing this exam receive credit for CSE 007 and are eligible to take CSE 017, the next course in the computer science sequence.
