Why did you decide to come to Lehigh University?

I chose Lehigh University due to its renowned engineering program and smaller class sizes, allowing me to foster meaningful connections with professors. Additionally, I was drawn to its research environment that offers numerous opportunities for undergraduates to engage in research activities.

Why did you decide to study bioengineering?

I decided to study bioengineering because I wanted to make an impact in the healthcare field. Bioengineering is unique because it improves medicine and technology through engineering. As someone who was always interested in designing and advancing patient outcomes, I knew Bioengineering was for me.

What do you want to be/do after you graduate? How will this degree help you get there?

After I graduate, I want to work on designing, improving or developing medical devices and technologies.

Share a good experience/memory with a faculty/staff member/peers/or class within bioengineering:

One of my favorite memories was the BMES formal where all Bioengineering disciplines, clubs, and professors enjoyed an evening of food and fun! It was great to have the Bioengineering community together and meet new people.

Share a fun fact (or two, or three) about yourself!

I am a member of the Lehigh Women's Club Soccer team. In addition, my friend and I founded Lehigh's first Club Softball team!

What words of wisdom do you have for current or future students of Bioengineering at Lehigh?

Some advice I have is to try new things even if they seem scary. Push yourself to join clubs that sound interesting and go to Lehigh events. I also recommend fostering relationships with professors. They have a lot of insight into the bioengineering field and can help guide you to meet your goals.
