Congratulations Samuel Rozans for being selected as a 2024 Graduate Life Leadership Award Recipient!
Sam was recognized for his hard work and leadership in the Bioengineering department and beyond at the Spring 2024 Graduate Student Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, April 17th. This event was hosted by Lehigh's Graduate Life Office (GLO) and recognized many graduate students accross the institution for their hard work and accomplishments. Sam's award was presented by Amin Hosseiny Marani, Graduate Life Leadership Award 2023 recipient.
Instructions to nominate for this award went out earlier this year requesting nominees for "a graduate student in good standing who has shown exemplary commitment, leadership and service to the Lehigh graduate student community and whose efforts have made significant contribution to graduate student life" (https://grad.lehigh.edu/student-life/graduate-student-awards).
When Sam's award was presented, the following was said about him and his accomplishments:
"Our final recipient has demonstrated effective leadership with the Bioengineering Department. As the co-president of the bioengineering graduate student association, he has facilitated a collaborative approach to leadership that has led to a very successful research day. He has served as a valuable voice for graduate students as policies and procedures were getting established in the HST building, and also successfully advocated for stipend increases for graduate students. For his humble but mighty leadership, let’s applaud Sam Rozens."
