Triple alumnus and mechanical engineer recognized with 2016 Duff Roblin Award

The University of Winnipeg will present Gerry Price '70 '72G '76 PhD, chairman and CEO of the Price Group of Companies, with its 2016 Duff Roblin Award in mid-November.

The university said it is honoring Price in recognition of his many contributions to education and community through visionary business leadership, volunteerism and philanthropy.

"Gerry Price is an exceptional industry leader whose generosity and dedication to community have greatly benefitted our province," U of W president Annette Trimbee said. "That community mindedness, coupled with his commitment to shaping our future leaders, exemplifies the spirit of the Duff Roblin Award."

Price has served with Price Industries (formerly E. H. Price Ltd.) since 1977, including 30 years as CEO. He was born in Winnipeg and is the holder of B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh.
