On March 24–25, Lehigh’s annual Giving Day + March Mania returns, uniting alumni, faculty, staff, and friends in a 48-hour push to support the university. The Rossin College 250 Donor Challenge: We have set a goal of 250 donors to Lehigh Engineering this year. For every 50 donors who give to any Rossin fund (departmental or programmatic), $5,000 will be unlocked for the college—up to a total of $25,000. This challenge is generously sponsored by Sunny Misser MEng ’89, Mike Walsh ’90 P’12 P’17, and Steve DeWeerth, the Lew and Sherry Hay Dean of the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science, and his wife, Valerie.

Double Your Impact for FYRE: The innovative First Year Rossin Engineering (FYRE) program engages students in high-impact engineering from day one. To fuel this initiative, Steve and Valerie DeWeerth will match every gift made to FYRE, dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000.

The Departmental Participation Race: The three engineering departments with the largest percentage increase in donors compared with last year will receive a portion of a $5,000 challenge fund provided by the DeWeerths: $2,500 for first place, $1,500 for second, and $1,000 for third.

The Dean’s Inter-College Faceoff: Dean DeWeerth has challenged the other four college deans to a battle for the most donors and dollars. The stakes? The losing deans must wear the winning college’s gear for some legendary photo ops.
