Luis Nunes Vicente | Department Chair
Dr. Luis Nunes Vicente joined Lehigh University as ISE Department Chair in August 2018 as the Timothy J. Wilmott '80 Endowed Faculty Professor. He obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Rice University in 1996. His research interests include Continuous Optimization, Computational Science and Engineering, and Machine Learning and Data Science.

Frank E. Curtis | PhD Program Director
Dr. Curtis is ISE's Director of Graduate Studies. His research interests revolve around the area of large-scale mathematical optimization and its applications, which lies at the intersection between applied mathematics, scientific computing, and operations research. He obtained his Ph.D. from Northwestern University in Industrial Engineering in 2007. Dr. Curtis joined the faculty in 2009.

Luis F. Zuluaga | MS Program Director
Dr. Luis F. Zuluaga explores the development of solution schemes and effective algorithms for problems involving optimization over polynomials, especially those arising from integer programming, probability, and finance applications. He earned his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Carnegie Mellon University.

Charalambos Marangos | UG Program Director
Dr. Charalambos Marangos has been employed as adjunct faculty since 2007. He earned his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh in 2003. He has worked internationally as a project engineer in continuous manufacturing for the pharmaceutical, the petrochemical and aluminum recycling industries. Additionally, he has spent two decades as an industry consultant, specializing in projects related to manufacturing, information systems and operations research. He brings valuable insights from these experiences into the classroom.

Department Staff
Sheila Dorney | Communications Specialist and Undergraduate Student Coordinator
Sheila is responsible for providing support to the undergraduate programs, department events and meetings, content creation, website maintenance, social media and communications, fund-raising and alumni engagement, and recruiting/job placement.
Keith Dow | Business Manager
Keith provides financial support to the Department by managing accounts, writing financial reports, and assisting with purchases and subscriptions.
Joyce Gabay | Graduate Coordinator (Communications, Recruitment, Advising)
Joyce is the ISE Department and Graduate Coordinator. She is responsible for the coordination of graduate programs, as well as general ISE office management and providing assistance to the Department Chair.
Mark Motsko | IT Client Support Coordinator
Mark provides IT assistance to the department and maintains the technology in Mohler Laboratory's labs and classrooms.
