Compare Lehigh engineering majors

Every Lehigh engineering major shares a core of engineering science and math, ethics and professional development, and project-based learning. Each balances four subject areas differently: data and computing, electrical physics, mechanical physics, and biology and chemistry. Every major also includes humanities and social sciences courses, because Lehigh educates the whole student. Each bar shows how a major's required courses divide among those four areas; select a major to see its page.

  • Data and Computing
  • Electrical Physics
  • Mechanical Physics
  • Biology and Chemistry

The bars are illustrative: they show the relative emphasis of each major's required coursework, drawn from the 2026-27 catalog.

Connect engineering to another field

Students in the IBE Honors Program can major in nearly any area of engineering or business that Lehigh offers. Computer Science and Business joins computing with business; IDEAS pairs an engineering concentration with an arts and sciences concentration; and Arts and Engineering adds a full arts and sciences degree to a professional engineering degree.
