Jiawei Guo is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Lehigh University. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and previously received his M.S. from the University of Southern California.

Dr. Guo’s research focuses on developing advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning methodologies for unsupervised anomaly detection, multimodal representation learning, and edge-deployable deep learning systems. His work aims to bridge fundamental machine learning research with real-world engineering applications, with primary emphasis on health monitoring, intelligent transportation systems, and industrial defect inspection. His recent research includes transformer-based time-series anomaly detection, memory-augmented visual anomaly segmentation, lightweight railroad inspection frameworks, and label-efficient learning methods for predictive maintenance and remaining useful life estimation.
