Prof Sihong Xie and his research team designed a robust neural network model to shield customers from fake reviews on e-commerce web sites while treating all reviewers fairly so that voices from different sub-populations can be heard. His research team includes Kenny Kwock, a Lehigh undergraduate, Jiaxin Liu, a female PhD student,Kai Buckholder, a REUsite student, and Chao Chen, another PhD student. Their work has been accepted as a regular paper at CIKM 2021, one of the top data mining conferences.
