Cutting-edge tool to expand nanoscale study of material deformation

Researchers across Lehigh University’s colleges and departments will soon be able to conduct experiments using a new, state-of-the-art plasma focused ion beam system, or FIB, together with the capability for in situ mechanical testing at various temperatures between minus 130 and 1000 degrees Celsius.

ASCE: Pennsylvania’s infrastructure scores a C minus

With Lehigh’s storied Fritz Laboratory, a civil engineering landmark, serving as the backdrop, the Pennsylvania Council of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) announced today that the state has earned a C minus grade in its 2022 Report Card for Pennsylvania’s Infrastructure.
