This international traveling exhibition celebrates the life and work of one of the greatest and most inventive structural engineers of the 20th century, Pier Luigi Nervi (1891-1979).
 

Presentation: Reduce, reuse, recycle

The impact of plastics on the environment and the lack of appropriate recycling have been brought to light in the national press. What are the problems of plastic recycling and how efficient are the solutions?
 
Jonas Baltrusaitis, assistant professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Lehigh University, will present a talk in recognition of Earth Day 2018 about the problems of plastic recycling.

Bioinformatics Funding at the NSF: The Advances in Biological Informatics Program

Jennifer W. Weller, NSF Program Officer and BIO Directorate, Division of Biological Infrastructure, presents at the next DataX seminar series, "Bioinformatics Funding at the National Science Foundation: The Advances in Biological Informatics Program."
 
Weller will be available to meet with student groups, post-doctoral fellows and junior faculty to discuss programs that direct funding towards their groups, as well as for one-on-one conversations with individuals interested in other DBI or BIO Directorate programs.

Rossin College's graduate engineering programs highly ranked

U.S. News and World Report published its Best Graduate Schools 2019 guidebook Tuesday, ranking the nation's colleges and universities offering doctoral degree programs.
 
Lehigh University's Rossin College of Engineering ranked 61st out of 199 schools participating in the survey. Under Best Online Graduate Engineering Programs, Rossin College ranked 46th out of 93 schools.

The Computer Science and Engineering Department of Lehigh University is hosting a livestream of the Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference on Monday, March 5.
 
The conference aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and support women in the field. This annual one-day technical conference provides an opportunity to hear about the latest data science related research and applications in a broad set of domains. All genders are invited to participate in the conference, which features exclusively female speakers.
