Mechanical engineering alum Milad Siami ’14G ’17 PhD, an assistant professor at Northeastern University, has been awarded a $300,000 grant from the National Science Foundation in support of his research on streamlining complex networks.

Three women who recently completed the Department of Bioengineering master’s program highlight the depth of the program’s offerings, a curriculum designed to meet each student’s academic goals, and the variety of career opportunities open to graduates. Bader ’90 ’91G to receive Sidney Fernbach Award from IEEE CS
Electrical and computer engineering alum David Bader ’90 ’91G has been named as the 2021 recipient of the Sidney Fernbach Award, given by the IEEE Computer Society (IEEE CS).
Aslangil ’15G ’19 PhD joins University of Alabama faculty
Mechanical engineering alum Denis Aslangil ’15G ’19 PhD has joined the faculty of the University of Alabama as an assistant professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics.
His research group will explore “multi-physics and multi-material effects on turbulence and turbulent mixing that are observed in the nuclear fusion process, atmospheric, oceanic, and astrophysical flows, supersonic transportation, and combustion.”
