ISE alum's $5M gift to enhance on-campus living community

Industrial engineering alum Dennis Singleton ’66 and his wife, Charlot, are supporting Lehigh's New Residential Houses project with a $5 million gift to help strengthen and enhance the on-campus living community. Long-standing advocates of education, the Singletons are furthering Lehigh’s Path to Prominence plan to expand the student body and bring new dynamism to campus.

Capes ’88 heads HPC, liquid cooling innovator Bitfury Allied Control

Electrical engineering alum Joseph Capes ’88 has been named head of Allied Control Limited, a subsidiary of the Bitfury Group, according to a press release. 

Allied Control provides high-performance computing and liquid cooling technologies that are used in data centers globally, including Bitfury’s high-performance transaction processing centers. Its proprietary two-phase immersion cooling solution is covered by multiple patents globally and significantly reduces data center size and environmental footprint while delivering increased computing capabilities. 

Pacicco ’84 appointed CEO of MatrixCare

Chemical engineering alum Steve Pacicco '84 has been named president and CEO of MatrixCare, a healthcare software company specializing in skilled nursing care services and senior living providers.

MatrixCare is the largest long-term post-acute care (LTPAC) technology provider in the country; its software solutions used in more than 13,000 facility-based care settings and 2,500 home care/home health and hospice organizations.

Jewell ’03 Receives Presidential Early Career Award

Chemical engineering and molecular biology alumnus Christopher M. Jewell ’03 has been named by the White House as a recipient of the 2019 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers. PECASE is the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. government to recognize outstanding early-career scientists and engineers who show exceptional potential for leadership in their fields.
