Aparna Bharati is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science at Lehigh University. Her research interests are in the areas of Media Forensics, Computer Vision, Biometrics, and Machine Learning. She leads the Computer Vision Research Group and is affiliiated with the AIRLab, I-DISC and the NHI Initiatives at Lehigh. She serves as a member of the IEEE Biometric Council's Editorial Board and the PAMI-TC Executive Committee. She has also served as a member of the IEEE Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee and in the organizing committee of venues such as CVPR, WACV, IJCB, FG, ICPR and IHMMSec. Prior to joining Lehigh, she received her Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame where she was a Research Assistant for the DARPA MediFor program advised by Drs. Kevin Bowyer and Walter Scheirer. In the summer of 2019, she worked on Document Change Analysis as a Machine Learning Intern in the Document Intelligence Lab at Adobe Research. She graduated from IIIT-Delhi with a B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering and specialized in Image Analysis and Machine Intelligence.
